TIP: if the game wont start at 1st try or keeps force closing, try a fresh reboot of your phone.

Full game has been consolidated with the ‘lite’ version, there is now just 1 version to download. If you previously used “Pacific Navy Fighter – FULL”, simply migrate by downloading “Pacific Navy Fighter” (you will still keep the extra missions).
Audio issues with Android OS version 4.3

Crashes / not responding
There are a few bugs in various android o.s. versions that sometimes affect the game, whenever possible a workaround is implemented but there’s a bunch of known issues for which there are no workarounds – such is life. For device freeze issues, read below.
Sudden drop in FPS (choppy gameplay)
This can have 2 causes: 1. low-end hardware and a lot of stuff going on (can do little about it), 2. A issue that is under investigation, reportely briefly pausing the game for a few seconds (back button) and then resuming resolves the situation.
Can’t enable some options in ‘settings’
For some device classes some options have been disabled automatically since there are known performance and/or compatibility issues.
Green sea/sky
We have had reports of several users getting grean sea/sky every now and then. Primarily galaxy S2 users. This is not a bug in the app but a issue with the firmware of the device. After upgrading to Android 2.3.4 the issue is solved.
Spont. reboot / freeze
On most devices holding the power button for 10+ seconds will reboot the device, undoing any freezes. Reboot issues are usually hardware/driver/O.S. related.
Additionally, android versions 2.x and 3.x are based on older Linux kernels which have a issue within the futex code, causing device-wide freezing (android issues 7432 and 20833) usually in app’s using heavy multithreading (like our games) and/or 3d graphics (like our games). IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR US TO FIX THIS OR WORK AROUND IT, THIS REQUIRES A VENDOR SUPPLIED UPDATE OF THE DEVICE KERNEL
Install fails after download / update
Symptoms: When try to load the game on [any android device here], it tells it can not be installed on SD card or USB device.
Note: this is a android issue and not specific to our App. We cannot control how or where App’s are installed, it is fully beyond our control. Furtunatly there are workarounds.

Resolution / workaround:
Suggested actions [attempts are at users own risk] we have seen mentioned on the web are:
– Move app to phone memory
– Unmount SD
– Install/update
– Mount SD
– Move app to SD again
How to do the above might differ between phones, android versions and any custom interfaces installed or provided by the reseller / manufacturer.

Again, we regret this but unfortunatly is fully beyond our control. Thus far though, all reporters have been able to work around it.
Intermittend “Force close” issue
Many of the error reports we receive are related to a Android bug related to 3d graphics which also affects other games from other manufacturers. Unfortunatly we cannot solve this on our end.

Cannot find app on market
If you used to play ‘full’ version, simply download the available version on market, you will still get the extra missions.
Requirements for device to see the app on market are OpenGL 2.0, accelerometer and compass. Additionally we blocked Motorola Defy since we have multiple reports of bad performance on that device. Should you have already a installed version on a Defy that runs okay, we would be interested to know (use the support form). The app is rated medium content, so content filter settings can also hide the app.
When just switched cockpit / external view you need to release throttle to set new throttle position.
This is known and not easy to fix and considered a minor issue. Only occurs when switching between cockpit and external views. Shortly releasing throttle is a workaround.
“Compatibility Issue” dialog box on startup, can’t start game
Cause: 3D hardware acceleration requirements not met.
Resolution: None, the device does not meet minimum requirements.
“Performance Problem” dialog box on startup
Cause: This can occur even if your phone is fast enough, if other applications (music players, services, background programs etc.) take up too much CPU time.
Resolution: Close running applications prior to game start.
